ALECIA AND MIKE ECHOLS - Vocalist, Fiddler & Guitar, Stephenville, TX
Granbury Live’s “Princess and The Blue Eyed Fiddler” have quite a story to tell about falling in love on the Granbury Live stage. Alecia came to us straight out of high school after some outstanding years in the Granbury High School Choir and what a red haired talent! She continues to blossom and our fans always request her rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
Mike joined Granbury Live three years ago. His grand dad had started teaching him how to play the fiddle when he was three years old. Mike continued to play throughout his schooling and won awards around the country for his talent. He auditioned and was hired two weeks before the debut of “God Bless Texas.” He graduated from Tarleton State University in 2006. and is employed as Music Associate at the First Baptist Church in Stephenville.
The late Tom McRae would tell Alecia in their first rehearsals together to look into Mike’s eyes like she really was interested in him when he played ………the chemistry worked. They married on June 29, 2006, and moved into a new home in Stephenville. Mike is employed as Associate Director of Music at the First Baptist Church. He has been a “budding” drummer since he was a little boy. They enjoy relaxing around home, working in the yard and bowling. Alecia doesn’t really care for golf, but Mike has a “1” handicap.
